How much does it cost to eat at the dining halls?

The 2025-26 door rates are:

  • Breakfast: $9.57
  • Lunch: $12.68
  • Dinner: $14.23

Students with meal plans may use a meal to enter either dining hall.

Can I take food from the dining halls to go?

You may purchase an OZZI to-go reusable container for a one-time price of $6 at the register to take food out of Sovi and Social 704 dining halls. Return your container for a fresh one.

Am I able to pay with cash at campus dining locations?

Yes, all locations will accept cash at the register. Our kiosks and mobile ordering don’t accept cash, but the POS at the counter will. All cash-paying patrons need to do is ask!

How do I view menus and hours for each location on campus?

What if I don’t have time to eat at a dining location?

Mobile ordering options, such as Transact‘s Niner Diners for ordering ahead and Starship robots for delivery, let you order food without having to sit and eat.

How do I find my ISO number to order Domino’s?

When ordering with your meal plan or campus spending account at Domino’s, their online ordering system will ask you for your 16-digit ISO number.

  1. Open the Transact eAccounts app, where your mobile 49er ID lives, and sign in.
  2. The 16-digit number underneath your name is your ISO number.

What if I have special dietary needs?

Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-avoiding and healthy options are available at Social 704, SoVi and many of the retail locations.

Our Registered Dietitian is available to meet one-on-one with students to discuss dietary restrictions, food allergies, overall nutrition and healthy eating on campus. Consultations are free.

How do I use a meal if I’m sick?

Students requesting sick meals must fill out the Sick Meal Form, indicating their meal plan, location, date of pick-up and student designee to deliver their meal.

I am struggling with food security, do you have assistance programs?

Charlotte is proud to offer food security resources, such as the Jamil Niner Food Pantry, and is a partner of the Swipe Out Hunger program.

How do I request catering for my event?

Chartwells offers a variety of catering menu options for event planning.

Can I request a food truck on campus?

Yes, however, Auxiliary Services currently will allow food trucks on campus only for University-sponsored, campuswide/community events hosted by a University-affiliated group/department.
